We’re switching to Terafile.co for firmware hosting, as Hotfile shuts down on infringement charges
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has scored another victory against piracy, this time against Hotfile, which has shut down all operations and taken its site down, which means it’s a file host we can’t use for hosting our firmware files anymore (which, by the way, are completely legal). Therefore, since the last few hours, we’ve begun transferring all firmware in our database to Terafile.co, which is the file host we’ll now be using for the foreseeable future.
It will take at least 48 hours before we’re able to finish uploading all firmware, so do forgive us if you’re unable to get that firmware you wanted to download for the next couple of days. We’re looking at file hosting options other than Terafile, and would like to point out that we can’t offer free hosting on our own servers for everyone, as that would require too much bandwidth and reduce the download speeds for users. Furthermore, using a file host also lets us earn some revenue from downloads, which in turns helps us keep SamMobile alive and kicking so that you can get the latest on all things Samsung.
We’ll update you guys once we’ve finished shifting to Terafile.co. Again, while we do that, our apologies for the inaccessible firmware in the firmware section.
Update 1 – We asked Terafile to upgrade their free download speed for our account.
Update 2 – Free download speed upgraded.
Update 3 – No need to be member anymore. (terafile)
Update 4 – SamMobile is working for a extra option, release this weekend.
Update 5 – Own servers no option cause of storage.
Why not use Uploaded.net? They are so much faster !

There are couple of options for you:
- make donations more prominent
- try out Google AdSense
- pass download links through adf.ly
I don’t mind cyberlockers, but if they are going to take several hours for gigabyte size files, I’d be happy to pay premium for torrent links.

I too would easily pay premium, if not more for a torrent link. I don’t see me leaving Samsung any time soon so it is a good investment for me. I would easily pay 20 – 25 Euro a year or something to have the ease of torrent links.

I can’t download the I317MUMUCNA1_I317MTCECML1_TCE.zip firmware for Galaxy Note 2 because Terafile has a limit on file size to download, I got an error message:
“You can download files up to 1024 Mb only.
Upgrade your account to download bigger files.”, but the file size is 1.0 GB. What can I do?, thank you.

Please use mediafire.com it has fasted speeds and it supports download managers (IDM) for free users. And for us whose Internet breaks alot, it helps coz we can resume. Please I beg you

Sammobile, you keep using these sketchy servers. Why don’t you use some of you ad revenue to buy some proper storage space? Dropbox, box, drive, mediafire? Why don’t you post torrent links and avoid crashed downloads and waiting times and wasted transfers? You really need to re-evaluate your methods.

How much bandwidth do you need on the file hosting server ?
i have a 200 mbit/s upload connection that i can lend you, if it is enough, there is no limits on the connection. i also have a couple of TB’s disk space free for the files.

OK, and now I cannot download the file I needed so bad from terafiles.co. It gives me an error mesasge :

Then i really hate to say it you in between a rock and a hard place and will have to solicit donations. Other people know how to monetize it but all we hear is not going to work give us something else. This is why i wish the firmware downloader still worked. everyone points to you all for firmware and now your host is down and nobody can get it. Something that goes against open sharing of knowledge.

I would like to say a big “Thank you” to Sammobile staff. I can only imagine the struggle they are going through right now. Ok, maybe the quickest solution not always the best, but these guys working for as, and they provide us the said firmwares for free. I my case, I’d lost my phone’s warranty, if they don’t wanna find a solution for the storage mayhem caused by the Hotfile shutdown. But they trying hard. This can’t be easy to agree with a storage provider to store a lot of data in big packages, and find s solution in a week or so. So thank you guys once again for your efforts and for your dedication.

what are the limits on number of file transfers? I’m trying to download the 4.3 firmware for my i9300 (UK BTU), & I don’t mind waiting, but all I get when I try is:
“This file reached max downloads limit”
per day, per week, forever?
if this is a forever limit, then thats a complete pain…
on a more positive note, keep up the good work guys, I read sammobile a lot & appreciate the work you all put in. I realise that you need to earn some money at some point (not much is free in this world…)

I would like to thank you again SamMobile!!! I’m from a country in the middle of nowhere, my phone is not exactly from the often kind. But I could download my official firmware for good, my phone is good as new after the flash, and accepts updates even the mobile phone provider. You guys are awesome!!! Keep up the good work!!

Hey SamMobile,
Please consider switching to Mega to host your firmwares. Mega is fast, reliable and comes with added encryption to prevent files from getting stolen. It is getting annoying having to wait for 10 hours for a firmware to download. Terafile downloads also drop off unexpectedly.
At the very least, please put up MD5 checksums for the firmware files so that we can verify the integrity of the downloaded file, that it is not halfway through completion.

File Not Found
The file you were looking for could not be found, sorry for any inconvenience.
Possible causes of this error could be:
The file expired
The file was deleted by its owner
The file was deleted by administration because it didn’t comply with our Terms of Use

already my 3rd attempt at downloading the newest firmware for gt-i9300 in an hour or so – download hangs or finishes abortively. we would expect a stable and much faster way of obtaining (rather large) firmware files in 2014.

I also created a premium account and the download speed varies from full to zero and stays at zero for ages!!!! Jdownloader gives plugin error and generally the whole thing sucks!
