Tizen is almost dead according to Eldar Murtazin

Since Samsung delayed their first Tizen device again there is one big question. Is Samsung’s / Intel’s Tizen project still ongoing? According to Russian Mobile Know All Eldar Murtazin, Tizen is a kind of dead (almost dead). Now this doesn’t mean Tizen is completely dead, but they might mix features of Tizen into Google’s Android operating system. As we all know Samsung and Android products is a very good combination.

This is huge news. It also means Samsung have a lesser chance to build their ecosystem like Apple’s, which brings very good revenues.

For some reason every OS that Intel creates end’s up canceled before ever seeing a device released. Why are they even wasting money on development.

To be honest, I never really liked Tizen. I think Samsung has a better chance using it’s resources on Android. After all, I think their reason to try to develop Tizen was so that they could do more customization than Android, but from the ground up. I think they realized that it was too much work, and like Bada, they saw that they would still get more sales and profit with Android devices. In addition, in Android, they are still allowed to put their own services and their own apps, like S Voice, even if they are competing with Google services, but they still get Google Services in their devices. Ask Apple what happened when they removed Maps and Youtube. Tizen wouldn’t have had Google Apps, for sure. I think their best plan was always Android, and I’m glad they realized that.
