Samsung want to introduce a 8” AMOLED display to fight against the new upcomming NEXUS 7 and iPad mini. Samsung's new AMOLED tablet will follow-up the Galaxy Tab 7.7, Samsung's first AMOLED tablet. The new tablet uses a resolution of 1920 x 1200 (FULL HD) The tablet is expected for IFA 2013 in Berlin. Earlier we reported about a 10.1 or 11.4”, sadly for AMOLED fans Samsung delayed this unit. Most probably because of the resolution. A good thing to know is Samsung will bring an own tablet based on the resolution of the Google Nexus 10 which is 2560 x 1600 pixels. Both tablets are planned for IFA 2013. But because Samsung also planned the Note III we wouldn't be surprised if Samsung bring some of these products before or after IFA 2013 because the big thing is for sure the Note III. Last year Samsung announced the Galaxy Camera and Galaxy Note II as big products at IFA 2012 in Berlin.

    Thanks Tipper

Samsung Display's mobile panels might become fully phosphorescent in the second half of 2025. PHOLED (Phosphorescent OLED), not to be confused with POLED (Plastic OLED), is a type of material Samsung Display's AMOLED panels already use for green and red pixels. In contrast, the company's AMOLED displays use blue fluorescent materials rather than a blue […]

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has many qualities we detailed in our recent review, but one of the most unexpected is the amount of time this phone can run on a single battery charge.
