German court issues EU-wide ban on Galaxy Tab 7.7
German court has granted a preliminary injunction against Galaxy Tab 7.7. The injunction is EU-wide which means Samsung or its subsidiaries won’t be able to sell the tablet across the European region, in addition to the already banned Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Meanwhile, the court upheld lower court’s decision to not ban Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1N in Germany
Samsung will be able to appeal once the decision comes from the lower court.
dont care, noone really needs a 7.7

Why german court has to choose for all EU countries? Who da hell are they? Are they blind?? The samsung galaxy tab 7.7 has nothing to do with apple’s ipad design…ipad cannot make phonecalls and doesnt have sd cards, no flash player and no video calls over 3g …please get a life apple and germans to

Not sure how or why Germany can decide to ban something for the entire EU – seems a little autocratic and unilateral to me. Also Apple should get a grip – they don’t even have a 7″ offering yet to my knowledge.

I’m also a German. And it blamed for this forum to say things against our country. I agree that Germany hasn’t got the right to rule hole Europe, but it’s not our fault that the judgment has come. The fault is lying on the fruit company:
First at all I even not see that the design looks like an “eye pad” because the metal frame belongs not to the fruits and the Sammy tab got an other size. So I’m asking myself how blind a judge could be.
And on the other hand why he banned the 7.7 ? The fruits don’t have that format! If I guess the reason is that almost of our members of parliament and justice got fruit devices. And when I’m right the got it as a gift from the fruit company or got a very cheap price payed.
So that’s the reality.

But how can in Germany ban Galaxy Tab in all EU?
How about the decision in UK? Galaxy Tab is banned from UK too?
I’ve pitty the Galaxy Tab 7.7 users who will not see ICS or JB because of this Apple shit….
It’s a fact that Ipad and Galaxy are similar, but that’s no excuse for ban.
Apple is “retarding” tecnology evolution…

- this is how marketing works nowadays – a customer is on the end of the food-chain
- i am in germany and i bought my tab 7.7 abroad, updated it to ICS 4.04 myself, no problems.
- i have an observation: people here, in germany are just brain-washed with apple, some years before they did not care about the make of stuff they used to make calls etc., but since this fruit company hysteria started things did change, i am sorry for the people (i am not german myself).
