Samsung today announced that its mobile payments service is going to be expanded to three new countries. The company has said that Samsung Pay is going to be launched in Malaysia, Russia, and Thailand by the end of this year. When that happens, Samsung will have completed the rollout of its service to 10 new countries in 2016. Samsung has also announced some new features for Samsung Pay users in the United States, features such as in-app payments, location-based deals and more. The recent partnership with Mastercard which brings support for Masterpass to Samsung Pay early next year has already been covered.

Starting next month, Samsung Pay users in the United States will be able to access deals at nearby stores. They will be able to do this from the new Deals feature inside the Samsung Pay app, these deals will be redeemable instantly. The Samsung Pay app will soon receive a refreshed new look with enhancements being made to the design and user experience. Users will also be able to select Samsung Pay for in-app payments at select merchant apps starting next month. All they need to do is select Samsung Pay during checkout and choose from one of the cards loaded within the app to make the in-app payment. In-app payments will initially be available for merchants like Hello Vino, Wish, Raise, Velocity and more.
