Samsung Connect Auto is an affordable connected car solution that the company introduced earlier this year. It has developed an ecosystem of services and products that aim to provide a safe, eco-friendly and more fun driving experience to users. The device itself is a little dongle that plugs into the OBD-II port found under the steering wheel of every car manufactured since the '90s. The dongle will provide users with real-time alerts to improve their driving behavior, offer them tips on how to improve fuel efficiency and even offer a Wi-Fi connection, this entire connected car solution is secured by Samsung Knox.

Back when Samsung Connect Auto was unveiled the company said that it will initially be launched by AT&T in the United States. It requires a cellular connection to function and provide features such as real-time car tracking using GPS and LTE as well as automatic notifications to driver's contacts and accident concierge services following an accident. Latest news reports say that AT&T is going to launch Samsung Connect Auto in the United States next month and that it's going to offer this connected car solution on a monthly payment plan. Samsung is expected to start selling this device to corporate clients in the coming months.
