    Samsung launches the most advanced nationwide 4G LTE service in Malaysia

    Samsung announced today that it has teamed up with YTL Communications to launch the most advanced nationwide 4G LTE service in Malaysia as well as the country's first Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service. YTL Communications is one of the largest carriers in Malaysia and it has opted for Samsung's network equipment and expertise to get its nationwide 4G LTE network up and running.

    “Today’s LTE commercial launch proves our reliability and loyalty to our partner, supporting the successful evolution to a 4G LTE mobile network on top of the existing 4G broadband footprint,” said Youngky Kim, President and Head of Networks Business at Samsung Electronics. The VoLTE service will enable users to make HD voice calls as well as video calls, allow them to seamlessly switch between voice and video during mobile calls and even give them the ability of send multimedia like pictures or website links during calls. All of this is made possible via Samsung's all-IP LTE network. YTL will deploy its ‘Brand new Yes 4G LTE network’ using Samsung's end-to-end 4G LTE solutions which include network equipment for 2.3GHz and 2.6GHz frequency bands, smartphones and it will also rely on the company for services such as deployment, optimization, maintenance, and more.
