Not long ago we confirmed the Galaxy J5 (2016) will be released in several European countries. That device has now surfaced on Samsung's website in France. Furthermore, Samsung Spain takes away all questions regarding a European release for the larger Galaxy J7 (2016), as it has posted the official product page on its website.

A few weeks ago, Samsung launched both new J-series devices in China, but we figured it would be a while before either of those make its way to other markets. Still, it quickly became clear the Galaxy J5 (2016) will eventually make it to Europe, and with Samsung France listing the first support pages for that phone, all doubt is officially removed.

Somewhat less anticipated, is the full-blown introduction of the Galaxy J7 (2016) in Spain, where Samsung's local branch is listing the device in full 5.5-inch, metal-framed glory, revealing a €299 price tag. Like the Galaxy J5 (2016), the J7 (2016) runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720 resolution, where the J7 (2016) packs the same pixels in a slightly larger 5.5-inch screen. Curiously, the Chinese J7 (2016) has a display with a 1080p Full HD resolution. The latter also comes with 3GB of RAM, while the European version seems content with 2GB of RAM.

Processor-wise, the Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410, while the new J7 packs more punch thanks to its Exynos 7870 or Snapdragon 617 soc. Both phones have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter with dedicated LED flash. Power is provided by removable batteries offering 3,100 and 3,300 mAh capacities respectively.

With the appearance of both new Galaxy J devices on European Samsung sites, it is of course not confirmed both phones will be available in all European markets. Still, we would not be surprised to see both phones released widely, as they do present attractive lower mid-range options for Europeans looking for affordable smartphones with a great display, solid battery life, and part-metal design.
