Those in the UK can now mark September 19 on their calendars, as that is the day when Samsung's latest flagship phablet will go up for pre-order in the country. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available to pre-order from Samsung's Experience Stores this Friday (which is tomorrow), followed by retailers like Carphone Warehouse and Three from September 26. General availability will begin on October 10th – it's likely that will be the date when the Galaxy Note 4 goes on sale worldwide, though we will still need to wait for an official confirmation from Samsung.

The Galaxy Note 4 is the second smartphone in Samsung's lineup to feature a metallic body, and also the second to feature a Quad HD Super AMOLED display. It sports a 5.7-inch screen, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, 64 GB of storage and a microSD slot, fingerprint and heart rate scanners, a UV sensor, and a 3,220 mAh battery. The Note 4 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and brings new features to the Galaxy Note lineup, such as Smart Selection and Smart Note.

As usual, pricing info wasn't divulged by Samsung, but according to UK retailer Clove, the Galaxy Note 4 will be priced at £575.

    Press Release:

London UK – 18 September, 2014 – Samsung Electronics today announced that the Galaxy Note 4 will be available to pre-order from Samsung Experience Stores across the country, including the Samsung Store at Westfield Stratford City, from Friday 19th September, followed by other selected online and high street retailers including Three and CPW from Friday 26th September, before it goes on general sale on Friday 10th October.

Featuring a sleek and stylish design in a premium metal frame, the Galaxy Note 4 combines a superior viewing experience with longer battery life and an enhanced S-pen to provide the most progressive mobile device on the market.

Kitted out with a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display, the Note 4 reproduces clearer and more vivid images with deep contrast, better viewing angles, and response times as fast as a millionth of a second. What’s more, with the Fast Charging feature and Ultra Power Saving Mode, the device has longer battery life and charges faster, so you won’t run out of power when you need it most.

A number of innovative enhancements have also been made to the iconic S pen, helping you with your day to day tasks. In addition to traditional typing, the S Pen can be used to write down thoughts and ideas with ease, offering a more authentic pen experience, whilst other intuitive features such as Action Memo, Screen Write, Image Clip and Smart Select allow you to create and collect content with ease.

“With its premium design and Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy Note 4 is the go-to-device for those looking for a stunning viewing experience,” said Ines van Gennip, Marketing Director, IT & Mobile Division, Samsung UK & Ireland. “With a number of innovative features to aid multitasking and increase productivity, we’re excited to offer our UK customers a revolutionary way of accessing and engaging with content on their mobile device.”

In addition, the Galaxy Note Edge will be released in selected markets, with UK availability to be confirmed in due course.
