Samsung seems to be working on yet another low-end handset that will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. A phone with model number SM-G350E was recently shipped to India for testing – the SM-G350E is a dual SIM handset with a 4.3-inch screen, and according to GadgetsToUse, it will feature a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 5-megapixel and VGA rear and front-facing cameras. The SM-G350E is also listed on Samsung’s mobile website, which confirms a display resolution of 800×480 and Android 4.4.2 powering the software.

The unit price of the SM-G350E is quite low at around $103 (Rs. 6,070), suggesting that the phone could go up against the Moto E launched by Motorola recently, which is the cheapest Android phone from a big-name manufacturer running KitKat. Of course, the retail price could go up to $150, but for anyone looking for a budget handset with the latest version of Android, the SM-G350E could be a pretty good option, along with devices like the Galaxy Ace Style.

Not really. Being a low-end device, this will feature considerably less features running, in turn needing lesser memory to run than a flagship phone. Also, the main issue with the Galaxy S III is most likely the internal partition where system files are stored, which is probably not big enough – this is a common mistake manufacturers make in futureproofing their devices, but it’s a huge issue.

True, but i think the 4.4.2 adds nothing as much as the 4.3,are the transparent and immersive mode going to push a bit ram, even a “value pack”or touchwiz essence(as the ace style)would do,also heard rumors about kitkat and sd-cards that customers won’t want and with the internal partition where system files are stored, that’s really a problem as you said.

i have no problem with Samsung as they launch as many devices, the only thing persists is that they must not forget the older devices to get updated with latest version whenever possible (in term of compatibility)…
