Samsung started updating the 3G variant of the Galaxy Note 8.0 to Android 4.4 KitKat last week, and now, the update has started rolling out to the Wi-Fi-only model as well. The update is currently out in the UK and should be extending its reach to other regions in the coming days, both over the air and through Kies. The update should include all the features and changes that were a part of the KitKat update for other Samsung devices. Highlights include faster performance, white status bar icons, improved battery life, full-screen album art on the lock screen, and wireless printing support.

Don't forget to head into the Settings » About » Software updates menu to manually pull the update if the notification hasn't automatically showed up on your Note 8.0. You can also download the firmware from our firmware section and update through Odin.

Update: The update has also started rolling out in the US, in the form of a large 712MB over-the-air update.
