Galaxy Round with its curved display compared with Galaxy Note 3 on video

round-vs-note-3-feature

Well, we’re all still recovering from Samsung’s announcement of the Galaxy Round, the world’s first smartphone with a flexible display that curves in directions we weren’t expecting it to, so why not take a look at nice little video Samsung has put together to showcase the device? It’s not a full hands-on, but the video shows the Galaxy Round from every angle, and also compares it side-by-side with the Galaxy Note 3, with which it shares all its hardware.

While the Galaxy Round looked odd in the leaked press shot, it doesn’t look at all bad now that we’ve gotten an official glimpse of it (though Martin still thinks its rather ugly). The display curves from the left and right side of the handset and looks pretty similar to the Galaxy Note 3, though there are a few differences – the loudspeaker is on the right side instead of the bottom as on the Note 3, and it looks just a tad thicker in the bottom center.

The video also shows what looks like a manufacturing defect, or something that’s a result of the display being curved, though we hope it’s not there in the final product. We’ll leave it to you to find out what that defect is while you watch the video below.

Samsung could have done way more with this flexible screen tech.
A lot of stupid scenarios come to my mind with this. And not one advantage. What is the meaning of it?
Make watches or tv’s or something really cool and new, but not this.

Don’t make a wheel square so that it looks cool. You get the metaphor… :)

Sammobile is NOT samsung or in anyways affiliated with samsung. They only report news on their devices. Theres no reason why you should be blaming sammobile for the design of the galaxy round.

First of all, you were blaming sammobile for the design. They are not Samsung. Second what does lot have inkling mean. Seems to me YOU’RE the one that needs to learn english. Also sounds to me you have anger management issues and that you enjoy beating your wife. Also, one more, FUCK YOU!

Should’ve called it Galaxy Banana, or Galaxy Curve…. Round just seems so inappropriate… :-)

I see its got a Home Button similar to the Note 3. While many Note 3 owners have reported faulty Home Buttons, I wonder if this will also be the case with the Curve?

Looks interesting though still early days yet its easy to see where this is all going, but how fast it gets there depends on the competition I guess.
