We're a bit late to report this, but Vodafone became the first Australian carrier to officially announce the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear today, ahead of Telstra and Optus. The carrier is taking pre-orders starting today, and also has a bundle of the Note 3 and Gear on a two-year contract, with plans starting from $10 a month on the $65 Red Plan (Vodafone has released a full pricing breakdown as well, so you can decide which one you want to choose.)

Vodafone hasn't specifically mentioned a launch date, but does mention October 2nd as the closing date for getting the devices on the Red Plan, so we can expect to see them launch somewhere around that date. Go ahead and place a pre-order for the phablet and smartwatch at the source link.
