The Galaxy Gear won't be compatible with devices other than the Galaxy Note 3 initially, so it makes sense to buy the two together or not buy the Gear at all. However, if you do wish to buy the Galaxy Gear separately in the UK, you can pre-order one for yourself from retailer Clove starting today. The retailer is taking orders for all six colors – Jet Black, Mocha Grey, Oatmeal Beige, Wild Orange, Lime Green and Rose Gold, and the price is set at £282 (a bit lower than the standard £299 price tag.) The launch date isn't mentioned, but September 25th is when general availability will begin.

The Galaxy Gear acts as a companion to the Galaxy Note 3, and sports a 1.63″ Super AMOLED display, 1.9-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, single-core 800MHz Exynos processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, a 315mAh battery, and Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. It can initiate calls, read messages and emails, track health-related activities, has S Voice built-in for creating alarms, loading apps, writing messages, and more.
