Rumor: Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S IV at CES 2013

Follow: Phones

There are some incoming reports from Korea that indicate that Samsung will unveil their new Galaxy S device the Galaxy S IV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013.

We of SamMobile don’t think this rumor is true as the CES 2013 will be taking place in 2 months and the Galaxy S III sales are way too strong for Samsung to release their next Galaxy S Flagship Device, the Galaxy S IV, so soon in January. Even our insiders don’t have any kind of information thaat indicate a  January or February release. We believe that Samsung will be dedicating a whole event to the launch of the Galaxy S IV as they did with the Galaxy S III in April/May 2012.

Many rumors are floating around that Samsung will be using the Exynos 5450 Quad-Core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, the Exynos 5450 is part of Samsung’s Exynos Series 5 and is based on Cortex-A15 Architecture, a 8-Core Mali-T658 GPU, 2GB of RAM and a 13 Megapixel rear facing camera. According to our Korean Insiders, Samsung will be equipping the Galaxy S IV with a stunning 4.99″ SuperAMOLED Display with a resolution of 1920×1080 (1080p Full HD) giving the display a 441PPI Pixel Density and the display is already in Mass Production.

We think Samsung will only showcase the new 4.99″ SuperAMOLED Display at CES in January and not the Galaxy S IV itself, as its way too early for the next generation of the Galaxy S Device.

Also, Samsung will mostly be displaying their new Televisions at CES 2013 this year.

You only need every second Samsung phone,
If you have the S2 the S4 will be your next, If you have the S3 the S5 will be your next.

They should focus on releasing better software updates before a new device. They did very little with ICS and only just starting jellybean when it has been on nexus for almost 4 months…

We must admit Samsung is a hardware firm. Software is not a top priority for them. That’s why these specs don’t mean much if the Samsung software quality remains low.

I really hope the Galaxy S4 will have a Mali T658 GPU but a T604 is more likely considering the Exynos 5250 also has a T604 on board. Exynos 4210 and 4412 both had the same GPU, but if Samsung really wants to compete with Apple’s own SOC with PowerVR GPU (and maybe Tegra 4 or a new Qualcomm SOC) a T658 would be much better.

haha… my next galaxy S probably will be the IV… but now Im getting smart… only get the IV when they release the V as price gets better. Stupidity to buy something so soon (like I did with S3)… you pay for what you want and in this case I got a great hardware that do not likes the software… perhaps, when IV became obsolet (lol) the software is fitting fine.
