Samsung to update 11 phones and 4 tablets to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
Today Samsung started to roll out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300.
Poland is the first market to receive Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update. The Jelly Bean update will be available to other countries and carriers really soon as well.
While releasing the Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300, Samsung has also released a full list of devices that will be upgraded to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Samsung update the next devices and tablets to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean…
- Galaxy S III
- Galaxy S II
- Galaxy S II LTE
- Galaxy Note
- Galaxy S Advance
- Galaxy Chat
- Galaxy Ace 2
- Galaxy Beam
- Galaxy Ace Plus
- Galaxy Mini 2
- Galaxy S Duos
- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
- Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
- Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
- Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung also update some unknown device called Galaxy Music.
But we think this is just the new Galaxy Player 5.8
The Jelly Bean update will have a few enchantments like:
- Better performance, thanks to Project Butter it’s even smoother and faster
- Reorganized settings menu
- 2 Homescreen modes
- New Notifications bar
- Google Now
- Resizable Pop-up play screen
We are happy to see Samsung update the most of their devices to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
But Samsung please tell me where is The Galaxy Tab 7.7 in the list?

Most of the news posted by you turned out to be true, but this list seems a bit weird. There are some mediocre phones in there still running Gingerbread and i seriously doubt Samsung will update them to JellyBean. Thats nothing new to me, my Galaxy S Plus never get updates. I only buy devices with cyanogenmod support, so my tab 8.9 will get cyanogenmod 10 and android 4.1.1. thanks to pershoot, kalt kaffe and cyanogenmod.
What samsung does is produce for the waste dump. How to get high selling rates is you produce many devices and don’t give them updates, the people want the neweset so they buy new devices and the old one get in the garbage…. its a clima killer, but perfekt for the stock. welcome to the capitalism.
i don’t understand why the competitors sleeps, only apple supports their devices up to 4 years like the 3GS, but the ipad is out after 2 years. But my samsung devices only for one year or nothing.

Es ist keine gute Politik ein so teures TAB wie das 10.1N 64gb +3g nach ein paar Monaten schon zum Alteisen zuzuordnen. Da sollte man sich überlegen ob Samsung der für sich bevorzugte Hersteller bleiben sollte.
Ich bin nicht glücklich über diese vorläufige Ankündigung, denn ich habe mich nach viel Überlegen für Samsung entschieden.

galaxy ace plus specs are low compare to these mobiles
Sony also giving updates(sony ‘s cells are cheaper than samsung .. they giving good specs in less cost)
even lg optimus black which has same specs as on Samsung galaxy SL i9003 they develop kernel 3.0 for that

Guess I will sell away my Tab 7.7, hopefully can sell at a good price, use the money to buy another new tablet, with new update OS.
The fruity brand will be launching a mini verson 7″ range tablet…. that should be a good option.

It is very unfortunate to notice that Galaxy Tab P7500 is not in the list for JB UPDATE. I wasted my hard earn money of Rs 35,000/ for purchasing the Tab. Present Update of ICS is a crap and sucks battery like any thing. My Tab’s warranty period is not yet expired. Not a wise decision by Samsung. Here after I will not go for samsung products.

Why 7.7 can’t upgrade even 7.0 plus, two device launch at the same date – September 2011. The cheaper version got upgrade and expensive version no upgrade. What is the business decision. In additional S II has upgrade and it’s launch before 4 months (May 2011).
Google promise all android device has 18 months free upgrade latest O/S.
