The Samsung Galaxy S III will have a 4.6″ Super AMOLED Plus HD display according to digitmes.
The SGS III display is confirmed to be 4.6″, and sport 1280×720 pixels of resolution, which will peg the pixel density at 319ppi.

@KurianOfBorg If the pixel density is the only criteria of screen quality for you, then yes. Otherwise I wouldnt put LCD and OLED technology in the same category.

Are you kidding? LCD with OLED the same category??? read please some wikipedia
Anyway, 4.6 is starting to look like a ping pong paddle, 4.3 is enough for a phone ( so you can stil cary it in your poket, but if this is the trend, be it so, it is upsetting that SAMSUNG does not want to loose TW launcher in their official rom

I dont get it guys, yes i like vanilla ICS but however….Do you expect samsung to release their flagship w/o at least light theme or launcher of their touchwizz….? Personally im gonna be very happy if SGSIIIs touchwizz will be much LIGHTER than TW SGSII runs-so kind of light overlay (theme with some additional functions or widgets, or TW launcher)….And BTW, want vanilla ICS? There WILL be AOSP ports and CM, however…You dont like rooting it?….buy nexus instead, its 100% pure android, i guess we could expect new NEXUS device soon, since Jelly Bean release is rumored arround the corner (July)…

4.6″ is a bit large for a phone. Galaxy Note is humongous and my galaxy S2 could bit in the screen of it.
Anyway 4.6″ is fine just as long Samsung give us a Pen :) and also choice of launchers. Also give us amazing battery life with high performance hardware. Then I’ll sell my Galaxy S2 and get it though it might be a little big but I’m still sold.

I dont understand one thng Y there is such a big fuss abt TW launcher…. When other Companies like HTC also dont look like Vanilla ICS (AOSP)… Even their launcher seems same as GB… N people still say i will switch to other Cos just for the sake for TW Launcher. If u r the guy who loves AOSP so much.. there is CM 9 on the way.. Stop fussing about TW…No Phone other than Nexus family is going to provide you the AOSP ICS

@KurianOfBorg well, after 2 years, it still isn’t better than the two year old iPhone.

    iPhone 4 – ~330 ppi pixel density – 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches
    Galaxy S III – ~319 ppi pixel density – 1280×720 pixels, 4.6 inches
