    Introduction

One UI's first release was in 2018, and in 2024, Samsung will introduce the seventh major One UI upgrade. One UI 7.0 will accompany the Android 15 update for eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets and will make its way to users in the second half of the year, as is customary for big One UI releases.

    One UI 7.0 features

Every new One UI version adds features and improvements that are separate from those included in the core Android operating system, and One UI 7.0 will be no different. As of February 2024, there is no information available on what One UI 7.0 will bring to the table.

It's almost a given that Samsung will introduce new AI features to complement those that debuted with One UI 6.1 on the Galaxy S24 lineup, as the company is putting a huge focus on the Galaxy AI. However, Samsung's policy of providing seven years of OS upgrades to select smartphones, it's possible One UI 7.0 will be less densely packed with new features compared to previous versions.

    One UI 7.0 compatible devices

Dozens of Galaxy smartphones will be eligible for the One UI 7.0 (Android 15) update. Almost every device that launched running Android 13 is guaranteed to get it, and so are flagship and select mid-range devices that launched in or after 2021 and are eligible for four generations of OS upgrades.

Samsung will eventually reveal an official list of compatible devices, but you can check out an unofficial list based on previous One UI releases here.

    One UI 7.0 release

One UI 7.0 will come to Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the second half of 2024. A more specific timeline will be revealed as we get closer to its release. Samsung will likely offer users the chance to test One UI 7 ahead of its official rollout through a beta program that could go live sometime in August.

The official rollout can be expected sometime in October or November. For some devices, the update may not arrive until 2025.
