Samsung's Galaxy S5 Active has finally gone official on AT&T. The phone is the same one we had seen in the leaks and is now available up for purchase in the United States from AT&T stores (online and brick-and-mortar). The design of the Galaxy S5 is slightly different with a more rugged feel than the original Galaxy S5 and is rated with IP67 for water and dust resistance and US Mil-STD 810G specification for shock, temperature, humidity, rain and altitude.

Samsung has decided to let go off the fingerprint scanner found on the Galaxy S5 and instead integrates a convenience key for Activity Zone that gives access to some features like compass, barometer, stopwatch and flash light. Internally, we're looking at the same Galaxy S5 with Snapdragon 801 2.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 16 megapixel camera, 16GB memory with microSD card slot, 2800mAh battery and heart rate sensor.

The phone sells for $199.99 on two-year contract in Camo Green, Ruby Red and Titanium Gray colours.
