Yesterday, Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 mini as a compact version of its 2014 flagship, but just a day before, the company also announced four budget smartphones, the Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Young 2, and the Galaxy Star 2. Today, pricing info for three of those devices has been revealed by Samsung Netherlands – the Galaxy Ace 4 will be priced at €219, the Galaxy Core II will cost €179, and the Galaxy Young 2 will carry a price tag of €99. Pricing for the Galaxy Star 2 is unknown, though given it is rather similar to the Galaxy Young 2 in terms of hardware, its price should also be around the €100 mark.
As expected, none of these prices are very sensible or acceptable (even though Samsung Netherlands spins them as user-friendly prices), given the low-end hardware we're looking at, so we can only hope that the prices will go down soon after launch. Let us know if any of the four new handsets interest you.
