Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in India for Rs. 40,900 ($660)

???????????

Samsung has confirmed at the Samsung Forum 2014 event in Bali that the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be making its way to India shortly. The Note 3 Neo was officially announced last month and looks similar in design to the original Galaxy Note 3. It comes with a slightly smaller 5.5-inch 720p screen to the 5.7-inch full-HD screen that was seen on the Note 3. Otherwise, there isn’t much to differentiate both mobiles as far as design is concerned. The Note 3 Neo also features a faux leather back and comes with the latest S Pen stylus.

The Note 3 Neo does come with an Exynos 5260 SoC that contains a hexa-core CPU. This CPU has two 1.7 GHz Cortex A15 cores in addition to four 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 cores. The device comes with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory of which 11 GB is available to the user, a micro-SD slot to boost storage to 64 GB, 8MP camera with LED flash and a BSI sensor, 2MP front shooter that also has a BSI sensor. In terms of connectivity, the Note 3 Neo has 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ GLONASS and NFC. The device comes with a 3,100 mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean along with Samsung’s suite of exclusive utilities. In addition, Samsung is also offering access to regional content through the Club Samsung Store. The Note 3 Neo will be available in Black, Mint Green and White colors and will be available for Rs. 40,900 ($660).

    Hi

Don’t you think so when Note 3 is being sold at Rs. 45k in Indian Market then pricing it’s younger brother around 40k makes no sense at all. On other hand if we compare Note 2 & Note 3 Neo then there’s just a little difference in terms of hardware & software & on that note it’s not worth consider to buy it beyond 35k in Indian Market. Could this pricing difference between Note 2 & Note 3 Neo really justify the user expectation who were expecting this one to be priced at a little lower price segment just say around 35k.

Note 2 current pricing in India is approx. 31.5k & Note 3 Neo price as mentioned by you in the article listed above is approx 41k that means a huge difference of 10k in between both these handsets. IMO Samsung should rethink about the pricing of Note 3 Neo in India or else it will result as a failure because people will either opt for Note 3 or they will simply go for Note 2.

As per latest news about Budget held in India it is confirmed that there’s going be a price reduction in Mobile Handset prices in India. So as we all know that NOKIA & SAMSUNG have their Handset Production Facility Setup in India itself so how is this going to benefit our Indian Consumers. Can we hope to see the Existing Handsets to be priced at a little lower than what they are priced right now.

Please answer to all my above listed queries as I’m supposed to buy a Note 3 Neo Handset but now I think I must change my decision & your advice in this case might help me a lot.

    Thanks

Samsung is actually cutting on its Niche… The very first Note was a super hit in Indian market as compared to any other place and also the Note 2…But I guess with such high prices… Samsung is forcing Indian buyers to divert to other companies… They must reconsider it, if they don’t want to loose a stronghold here… Already in mid range they r loosing ground.. Now with such pricing .. No wonder they are hitting themselves with vengeance…

I am no way buying any of these new phones from Samsung. My biggest mistake is when i bought the note 3 exynos version. So far haven’t seen any good AOSP support for this version. Thanks for XPOSED. I am thinking about selling my Note 3, sadly, and getting LG G2. But still note 3 is a very good phone but i just don’t like exynos :(
