Note 2 might have the Galaxy S3′s processor clocked at 1.6GHz?

Follow: Phones

GLBenchmark database entries have been found, containing benchmarks of an unknown Samsung device with code GT-N7100. As the GT-N7000 is the Galaxy Note, this might be the Note 2 we’re looking at. The GLEnvironment and System Info tabs state it has an Exynos 4412 processor with Mali-400 graphics just like the Galaxy S3 does. This might mean it won’t be a Cortex-A15 endeavor as people might expect. But this isn’t needed on the other hand, as there is nothing overshadowing its Cortex-A9 out there currently and Samsung might keep their Cortex-A15 a surprise for upcoming tablets and/or phones in the future!

The N7100 is scoring higher then the I9300, just like the N7000 scored higher then the I9100 before. This is because the N7100 Exynos 4412 is clocked at 1.6GHz instead of the I9100′s 1.4GHz. It looks like a resolution of 1280×720 is used and the device is running Android 4.0.4. We hope to get more information on this before the IFA Expo Berlin at August 30th which is just a few weeks left.

Yeah, hope that happens actually. I noticed lots of people actually expect note2 to come with A15 cpu, full HD screen,…. But samsung isnt going to do this, note is just version of galaxy flagship with bigger screen, it isnt flagship!!! What i expect is note2 with bigger screen and nearly identical hardware as SGSIII…..my two cents (samsung is going to put A15 in next flagship)

1280×720? Why would it be smaller than the first Note? And it is said that it’s coming with a 5.5″ display. Something is not right here.

Problem is there is only one big rival for Samsung and that is Apple Samsung don’t care about LG, HTC or SONY at the moment.

Nobody should be surprised if the Note2 turns out to be a big screen version of the SGS3. The Note was a big screen version of the SGS2…. peoples expectations are always too high and people dont realise they’re only disappointing themselves. In a comment on a previous story i made the point that the Note2 would more than likely be a bigger SGS3 with a slightly faster processor…. I am surprised to see the quoted resolution (given the original note was 800×1280) but as a previous commenter said – test firmware could be responsible.. time will tell.. people just need to relax about this kind of thing, just because samsung doesnt make a quantum leap in design and performance with EVERY new device does not make them uncompetitive.

check CPUSPY app, Why Your “not overheating phone” work often on 800MHz(heavy load) against 1400MHz? Becouse CPU is too hot and slowly to 800MHz then CPU temp is ok(not battery or case)…. The phone does not set this clock because it is enough just because it is hot.

I am using my note 1 since the time people are criticizing this wonderful gadget. It was we the initial users of note 1, who fought the black press and told people how wonderful this device is and now see millions ofbthese devices are not only sold but a newer upgraded version is also in the market. It all depend upon the use. If u dont like big screen samsung has made smaller versions as well. Low price with max hardware performance plus the modern android. Still loving my note 1 and waiting for note 3 or equivalent device hopefully s4.
