Ice Cream Sandwich premium suite on the Note this is what we are waiting for.. (video)
Samsung has delayed the update for the Galaxy Note to Ice cream Sandwich to Q2. Well they have a good reason for it, because they are preparing a premium suite software upgrade.
Well what does this mean exactly?
I got this from the Samsung press release:
“The Premium Suite offers new features and applications exclusive to GALAXY Note and its innovative S Pen, which includes S Note, a unique tool that lets you combine your notes or sketches with other digital content, giving you a new way to create your own stories. S Note comes in various ready-to-use templates for a range of tasks including meeting minutes, diary and others.
S Note also includes the innovative Shape Match and Formula Match applications that help correct and digitize geometric shapes and even solve numeric formulas hand-drawn with S Pen, increasing your on-the-go efficiency and productivity. You can draw tables and grids which are instantly digitized, saving time and effort. Moreover, by using the S Note’s integrated knowledge search engines, users can quickly search, and obtain information.
For a touch of self-expression, the Premium Suite also includes My Story, another S Pen optimized application that allows you to create personalized digital cards for friends or family using any type of content including notes, video content, photos, text or voice.”
Together with this update you will have the change to get extra levels for Angry Birds Space called “Danger-zone” which will be available for free if unpacked within the three-month period. Visit http://samsung.angrybirds.com/galaxynote for more information.

Sometimes I am wondering what kind of idiots are sitting there and testing those new firmwares and even dare to approve them for m*** usage as a complete product, when in fact it’s just half-done garbage full of bugs?!

Wyternum, my thuughts exactly!! Fick this! Ligjtning Rom is better than ICS 100 times and that is an embar***ment. I agree the coding programmers at Samsung are bunch of loosers. They don’t know what they are doing for starter. Wow it is unbelievable that Lightning Rom has fixed my browser text entering as well!!!! – as I am typing this. Lightning Rom – Ultratoxic v 8.1 is SUPER!!!!

I have no further need to try to comprehend why Samsung is failing (taking a nose dive) at coding simple firmware where others are succeeding and counting!!!! ! Samsung is trying to release new machines and new function in a firmware to divert consumer’s attention away from their incompetency to fullfill what they have promissed to 20 million SGS2 customers. THAT IS LAME.

All we want is a nice clean OS that WORKS. Even on 2.3.6 my Note crashes pretty often! My SGSII also crashed, although not so often! The model signal is poor on both products.
Samsung is slowly turning itself into crapware.
Stop making such a huge amount of phones and make a few good ones. Your sales will improve, you idiots. Ask Apple!

Where does it say Q2 ?
If you look at the Angry bird tease at the end, they mention that you have three months, between March 22 and June 22, to unlock it!

as posted on XDA EU ( Polish) samsung tech support claimed max 2 month waiting (5th march asked question). Adn as we can see they have claim to have it working. But i want see real video not some sort drawing.

For those of you f**king childish nutheads commenting on this, please be aware that you are the minority. And it is more than likely it is something you’ve installed that have actually screwed with your system.
Before you start your serial complaining, have you try the firmware WITHOUT any modification? Yes, rooting is a type of mod, pea-brains.
For those complaining about how long it is taking, PLEASE remember that S2 came out more than half a year before the Note was launched. So Samsung has given us a dud date because they thought they could meet the deadline, but apparently it cannot. Going by launch dates, Note should only be getting ICS 2Q from now. BE appreciative, f**kheads!

This could only be put under control if Google involves.
They’re owner of Android,and so they must warn other manufacturers,if they make it delay with update,or don’t satisfies customers,there should be some penalty from Google to Samsung (or other manufacturers).
Same story was with galaxy s,and it has been forgotten,same story will hapen with galaxy s 2 owners when galaxy s3 hit the market (galaxy s2 will most likely be forgotten by samsung).
HTC and Sony (Ericsson) keep their promisses and give a lot to developers (and never lie).
I mean,for example,HTC Desire HD will be updated to ICS officially by HTC
Nevere ever in my life Samsung device!
That is not Android Community what it meant to be in the first place.
