AT&T Galaxy Alpha receives software update

With the Galaxy Alpha Samsung told the world that it is just as capable with metal as it is with plastic. Even though this phone incorporates plastic in its build, the Galaxy Alpha has a sturdy metal frame which not only lends strength to the device but also makes it feel very premium. AT&T is one of the carriers in the U.S. that is offering this device to customers. Today the carrier has released a new software update for this smartphone. Before you get your hopes up, no, its not Android 5.0 Lollipop.

AT&T has released a new over-the-air update for Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It bumps up the software version to G850AUCU1ANL1 and weighs in at just 17MB. The phone will stay at Android 4.4.4 so clearly this is an incremental update.

The changelog doesn't reveal much. This update brings “user experience enhancements,” though the changelog doesn't exactly detail these enhancements.
