Samsung giving away $1,250,000 in prizes to developers in Gear App Challenge

Samsung recently launched its second-generation Gear smartwatch, and now, the company has announced that it will be kicking off a Gear App Challenge competition in May. The competition will be open to developers around the world and will be starting from May 8th, and the total prize amount is touted to be a whopping $1,250,000. Samsung has held similar developer challenges before, and the upcoming one should help the company in increasing the number of apps users can find on the app store for its smartwatches.
