Android 4.1.2 now available for Galaxy Note in Japan

We'll admit – we're waiting for our devices to get Android 4.2.2 if not Android 4.3 but if you're one of the users in Japan using the very first Galaxy Note (SC-05D), Samsung and NTT Docomo have pushed the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (JZO54K.SC05DOMMSG) update for the device. The device was previously running on Android 4.0.4 so this is in fact a big update for Japanese Galaxy Note users.

The update brings Google Now, better performance and S Pen support, expandable notifications etc.

The update is available through OTA or Kies and if you're comfortable with flashing, we have the OS for download on the firmware page.
