There have been several things in this contest that don’t feel right:

1. Changing the date is just unfair. People shouldn’t have to be looking at the thread everyday for contest rules to change.

2. About the PS thing, I thought the jury would appreciate the S-Pen craft better than letting apps do their image algorithms. I agree that it should be allowed but it should also be less appreciated. Personally I used PS magic wand to cut the shape of the Note 8.0 that I imported as a layer on SBP.

3. I thought it was meant to create something specifically for the contest, not just something that you already had done. Creating something new makes sense. Uploading old work feels like a C.V.: “hey, this is my portfolio. Look at what I do”. So unfair too.

4. And the hedgehog… I can’t believe this was considered better than so many nice drawings, honestly. Including my own. I’m not angry because I’ve not won, I’m angry because I expected the winner to be the best. Period.

If the First picture is drawn by only S-pen(Not Really!!!),then the artist would be the best among Leo,Picasso,M.F.Hussain and others….
Anyways Congratulations to the Winners…..

Only an idiot can believe that was the work of S-Pen.. only those who havent used an actual S-pen would believe.

congratulation to the both impressive and talented winners.

I do not own a note (I had bought the GSII when the G.Note 1 was released (had I known I could have waited)) and I own a GT 8.9, I have been very happy to use for one year (used to read technical pdf books).

A part from that, and in spite of the fact I have not seen any yet, I think the note 8.0 could be a big hit in companies :
to take notes (at conferences, in meetings), holding tens of technical pdf books. More over it could be used (as I do with my GSII) to take pictures of a white board after a brainstorming, but in the case of the note 8.0 that picture you even be later annotated thanks to the S pen.

This, Just to say that you and Samsung centered the launch of the note 8.0 around drawing and art creativity but I see another possible area of success : companies and the working places.

and I would even add one other area of possible success, due to its light weight and rather big screen and ability to take notes and write and learn how to write : SCHOOLS !

Yes !

Does it not hurt your heart to see little children carrying bags that are 1/3 of their weight ! endangering the good growth of their bones ?
All that because they carry heavy paper books ?

Let’s do away with paper books (where possible), let us use .pdf instead read (and annotated) on the Galaxy Note 8.0 for 590 grams instead of several kilos children have to carry.

I can even suggest the app for reading, ebooks the one I use : repligo.

Now you can say to marketing managers of Samsung that I too deserve a galaxy note 8.0, would it be just to demonstrate how useful it can be when working in a company.

I am convinced that we are close (how this is difficult to say)
to write on something else than paper casually, Microsoft and Wacom started the way with tablet pc O.S, samsung is pushing this forward still with the notes and the S pen in mass selling equipment, may be it will be the killer app, may be this is this year or this month…

Seriously? I’m unsubscribing! There is no reason why someone with barely any art talent drawing be choose over my drawing if you were choosing the best art piece, such a joke! Also that first one is not done on the Note, its very clear!

To sum up.. If people knew photoshop was allowed.. That would have been a completely different ball game..

And who knows who would have won with photoshop processing.. Im sure many people didnt use photoshop thinking it wasnt allowed?
It was common sense!

So honestly.. this competition was a big fail in the end.

It showed what photoshop could do.. nothing to do with note.

Maybe next time you guys plan before you start a giveaway.

With so many people unhappy with the result, I really think that they should have a re-look into the result. And next time, like so many people are suggesting, please have some rules for people to follow. I too think that when the competition was about sketching on a Note device, nothing but a sketch done entirely on S-Note should have been accepted. None-the-less, this is just a suggestion for future competitions. Congratulations to the winners :)

WELL?

First you guys didnt specify the rules..

What application can be used?

Photoshop processing allowed?

IT TURNED OUT TO BE A PHOTOSHOP EVENT !!!

AND HOW CAN YOU GUYS BE SURE THAT WAS PHOTOSHOP-TOUCH.. OR PHOTOSHOP ON PC.. EVEN IF MOBILE PHOTOSHOP WAS ALLOWED?

Sorry this wasnt S-pen thing.. this was a Photoshop thing!
