Exclusive: Samsung working on a high-end clamshell smartphone for China codenamed 'Veyron'

Samsung hasn't stopped releasing clamshell smartphones in China. It released the SM-W2016 in China last year with high-end specifications and a clamshell design. This year, Samsung is working on its successor, the SM-W2017, which will be released exclusively in China.

The Samsung SM-W2017, which is codenamed ‘Veyron‘ internally, will feature a clamshell body and high-end specifications. We don't have a lot of details about the device right now, but it could feature dual 3.9-inch HD Super AMOLED displays, an Exynos 8890 processor, a 12-megapixel primary camera, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.

The device could feature the same glass-and-metal build as the Galaxy S7, but we're not sure whether it would be water- and dust-resistant. We will get back to you on the matter as soon as we have more details regarding this high-end clamshell Android smartphone from Samsung.
