Samsung handsets with fingerprint sensors now work with Dashlane password manager

The first Samsung handset to have a fingerprint sensor built into the home button was the Galaxy S5, since then the company's flagship devices have had this feature and now Samsung is even bringing it to its mid-range devices. A fingerprint sensor provides users with an alternate method of controlling access to the device, it can be used for other functions as well such as logging into websites and authorizing payments through PayPal and Samsung Pay.

Password manager apps can expand this functionality further by allowing users to autofill information or log in to sites by just swiping their finger on the sensor. Dashlane is one such popular app that was previously not compatible with Samsung's biometric technology but that changes today. It supports the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, users who have any of these devices can access their notes, passwords, credit cards, personal information and more stored with Dashlane by using their fingerprint to verify their identity. Dashlane password manager is available for free through the Google Play Store.
