Report: Galaxy Note 4 to launch right after IFA 2014, ready for mass production

The Galaxy Note 4 is back in the headlines once again, with a new report from the South Korean media suggesting that Samsung’s next-generation phablet will enter the mass production stage as early as July. Samsung is reportedly planning to release the Note 4 soon after its official announcement at IFA (which runs between September 5 – 10) – the Galaxy Note 3 came out at the end of September, and the report indicates that the Galaxy Note 4 will launch even earlier. If true, the early launch might be a move Samsung is making in order to get the jump on Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6, which is expected to disrupt the smartphone market with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants.

Early September launch or not, the Galaxy Note 4 will surely be one of the best smartphones to come out of Samsung’s stable. The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to sport a QHD (2560×1440) 5.7-inch display, supposedly in both curved and flat form factors, an Exynos 5433/Snapdragon 805 processor (with record-breaking performance, if leaked benchmarks are to be believed), 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel with a Sony IMX240 sensor and optical image stabilization, a UV sensor, and Android 4.4.3 KitKat.

It’s so comical that Apple is going to disrupt the SmartPhone market with a 4.7 & 5.5″ phones which have been on the market for years already. Apple plays catch up and steals whatever they can from Android on an annual basis. Its a joke.

Still looking for word on the Note 10.1 (2015) tablet. Looking to get a new tablet and will wait for 2015 Note, but will jump on Tab Pro if no new Note is in the pipeline.

3GB RAM? So the only thing this thing that over my Note 3 is a higher resolution and a 64bit CPU which isn’t exploited properly by any means?

Yea, I’ll wait for the Note 6.

2k waste of battery and useless and 5.7 is the same size of my note 3 / and 64 bit useless waste of battery – and how is it the note 4 wont have 4 gigs of ram.

2k displays don’t waste battery, this is proven by the G3, which has even better battery life than my personal S5. In terms of RAM 3gb is all that is needed with the advanced chips and such, no need to fix what isn’t broken. And in terms of 64 bit, I believe this you are right on, this is just a gimmick that samsung is trying to jump in on since others are, they don’t want to be left in the dust.
