Samsung is almost done with Galaxy S III Android 4.1.2 updates worldwide
We of SamMobile did some research and found out that Samsung is almost done with the Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S III. The Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III
brought a ton of new features, most of the features are brought from the Galaxy Note II. We have listed some of the enhancements in the new Android 4.1.2 update below.
Some of the Enhancements in the new update:
- Android 4.1.2 – JZO54K
- Multi-View (Multi-Windows Multitasking, same as in Note II)
- Page Buddy
- New Gallery App (Same as in Note II)
- Notification Panel (Notification Panel can now be customized)
- Brightness Slider in Notification Panel Can Now Be Disabled
- Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings)
- Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard)
- Paper Artist App
- Group Cast App
Samsung still needs to update countries/carriers to Android 4.1.2 listed below:

South Africa (Vodafone) – XFV
Sri Lanka – SLK Uruguay – UFU
If your country/carrier is not in this list and you have a Galaxy S III please try Samsung’s FOTA (Firmware-over-the-air) service or connect your device with Samsung Kies. Of course, you can also download all firmwares through our firmware page. North-America is not in the list… Here on Rogers (Canada) I don’t have 4.1.2 yet…

4.1.2 isn´t avaible for the T-mobile version in Canada (T999).
the firmware you listed here on sammobile is the 4.1.1 version, not 4.1.2. Please check this yourself out and correct it .

Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 T-Mobile USA is still on 4.1.1. This article is not correct. Actually none of the America’s GS3′s have been updated to 4.1.2 Could you please revise the article, if you know of when this will happen, just let us know. Otherwise, you should correct the article.

Latest Galaxy S3 update seems to be buggy.
My phone started freezing and I have to take the battery out just to unfreeze and restart it. Searched the internet. Turns out that I am not the only one. Looks like the latest version of 4.1.2 with Sudden Death Syndrome fix is prone to bad freeze ups…
