Samsung start flexible OLED screens in 2013

Follow: Phones

Samsung has plans to start mass production of flexible screens in the first half of 2013.
According to the news paper WSJ  Samsung will use OLED technology with a top layer of plastic foil.
Samsung isn’t sure yet about which resolution to use but we bet on HD in the first place. Samsung is not the only brand that will start using  flexible screens, LG, Sony and Sharp are doing the same.
Samsung Display will invest more money in OLED technology specially on the flexible screen market!
The first rumored device with flexible Screen could be the Samsung GT-B9150.
This device is planned for MWC 2013. Of course is this just a rumored device yet!

The picture looks impossible until a whole flexible phone is developed. Flexible display does not make microwave circuits, antennas, computer or battery flexible. Much more useful & more possilble would be a phone of 3 X 5 X 0.3″ that would have 3 X 4.5″ display lwhile shut & open to show all of wrap around display of 6.3 X 4.5″. That would let us have tablet in pocket phone.
