It has been a couple of weeks since the One UI 2.0 Android 10 beta was released for the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note 9. Samsung has already made the beta available in several markets across the globe. It was going to take some time before the beta arrived for US unlocked variants of these devices.

The wait is now over for those who were waiting for the beta. Samsung has released the One UI 2.0 Android 10 beta for the US unlocked Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9. It's rolling out now so those who are interested can now register for the beta through the Samsung Members app.

Unlocked Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 get Android 10 beta in the US

The US unlocked beta for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ comes with firmware version G96*U1UEU7ZSL3 and the December 2019 security patch. It follows the second Android 10 beta firmware that Samsung rolled out for these devices elsewhere just yesterday. That release fixed issues like slowdowns due to memory leaks, slow hotspot speeds, device reboots while playing Clash Royale and more.

The unlocked Galaxy Note 9 is also receiving the One UI 2.0 Android 10 beta in the United States. Firmware version N960U1UEU3ZSL2 weighs in at just under 2GB with the December security patch included. Our One UI 2.0 feature focus series explains in great detail everything that's new with this major software update.

Samsung is steaming ahead with the beta releases for these devices. That's a good indication of the process going smoothly. The company will ideally be able to release the stable versions of these updates over the next few weeks. It has already been rolling out the stable Android 10 update for the Galaxy S10. The Galaxy Note 10 will be next before last year's flagships get the update.
