Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) late last month. The new premium mid-range handsets are now gradually being made available in markets across the globe. Samsung started taking pre-orders in South Korea last week with sales starting from January 5.

The company is airing a new commercial for the Galaxy A8 (2018) in its home country that highlights the handsets' dual camera. These are first devices from Samsung to feature a dual camera system on the front.

It makes sense for Samsung to highlight this feature in the marketing materials for the Galaxy A8 (2018). The dual front-facing camera is without a doubt one of the biggest selling features of the Galaxy A8 (2018).

The handset is equipped with a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera system on the front with Live Focus. The handset also features a gorgeous Infinity Display, support for the Gear VR headset, and more powerful internals.

Samsung also highlighted the dual front-facing camera in a recent feel-good video that it posted online. That video also shed light on some of the other features of this handset such as water resistance.

The Galaxy A8 (2018) is now available for purchase in South Korea and in the Netherlands as well. It's only a matter of time before it's released elsewhere.
