Some of the new and updated features defining the Galaxy Watch Active 2 have been featured in a new Samsung infographic called “A smartwatch with a purpose.” From the new digital Touch Bezel to the addition of the Camera Controller functionality, Samsung’s latest smartwatch has quite a few attractive features that shouldn't be overlooked if you’re in the market for a new wearable.

One of the least obvious but most impactful features debuting with the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is the aforementioned Touch Bezel. Samsung abandoned the physical bezel concept with the Watch Active model released earlier this year but hasn’t come up with a proper replacement feature up until now. The digital bezel on the Watch Active 2 helps users navigate the UI just like a physical bezel would, except it’s not, for better or for worse. We expect to talk more about the bezel situation in our hands-on preview.

Along with a new design come new fitness-oriented features and better connectivity

In the new infographic, Samsung is quick to highlight the improved fitness tracking capabilities of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 but omits the fact that the new wearable has an ECG sensor. This is because the ECG functionality is not yet enabled and should become available once approved by the FDA. Other than that, the Active 2 has a running coach function, better sleep tracking, and offers breathing instructions for stress management, among other goodies.

As for improved connectivity, Samsung highlights the Galaxy Watch Active 2’s ability to act as a remote camera controller, or translate voice and text for more than 16 languages in real time. There’s also integration with Spotify out of the box, and although this goes by unmentioned in the infographic, the new smartwatch also allows users to watch YouTube videos directly from their wrist. Check out the image below for more details, and let us know your thoughts on Samsung’s latest wearable in the comment section.
