    NOTE 10.1 2014 Edition - SM-P605 Official Lollipop update

    Hi,
    I have Product Code SM-P6050ZWETGY NOTE 10.1 2014 on 4.4.2 Kitkat

I see that most region SM-P605 have Android 5.1.1 released, I have tried to contact Samsung through different channels and basically get the "Sorry we don't no" answer

Will I ever see the Android 5.1.1 for my device, I bought it on Amazon UK, brand new, and it has received all previous updates OTA. I didn't realise at the time of purchase that the unit wasn't a UK spec device. Seems I have a Hong Kong or Taiwan model.

Is there any way to updated it to an official 5.1.1 without rooting or breaking KNOX.

Is there anyway to find out the official release date for my device from Samsung....

There support can be such an unhelpful bunch!

I see no reason why you cannot install another P605 firmware on your Tab.
You may need the firmware PIT file, so once you have chosen the country firmware, send the link to our technical moderator to extract the PIT file for you.

Send sammobile firmware link and request for PIT file to:

    Thanks greenman
I have sent them this link

    http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/d...05BTUEOJ1_BTU/

    which is the UK firmware

would I need root for this?
    will I need ODIN?
    Will it trigger KNOX?

is there a guide, I have flashed plenty of older Android Galaxy phones and older TABS but dont want to baulk this up!

This will be an Odin install.
The only variation from standard is the use of the PIT file together with the firmware file.

Your Odin settings will be :
    Re-partition.
    F.Reset Time
    Autoreboot

Knox will not be tripped and root is not required, but your warranty will be made void (changing CSC)

If the firmware unzips to one file, then put it into AP not BL.
