Change firmware and CSC to an available country

    Hello there,

I have a Tab S7+ 5G (SM-T976B) received from Samsung Sri Lanka. They have changed the CSC to SLK and since Samsung doesn't provide any firmware to this model in this country, I didn't get any for 5 months. I'm hoping to change the firmware to BTU or XSA since they have the same network bands as Sri Lanka. I have doubts about these things,

    1. After I flashed new firmware, will it affect my current LTE connection? If it affects, is there any way to resolve it?
    2. After I flash it, will I receive BTU / XSA firmware updates for the device afterward?
    3. If I follow instructions on Sammobile, will it change the CSC, or Do I need to change the CSC to BTU or XSA after I flash the firmware?
    4. Are there any downsides to doing this?

    Current Versions :
    PDA - T976BXXU1ATI2
    CSC - T976BOXM1ATI2

    Flashing to (BTU) :
    PDA - T976BXXU1BUA8
    CSC - T976BOXM1BUA8

    Flashing to (XSA) :
    PDA - T976BXXU1ATK3
    CSC - T976BOXM1ATK3

    Thank you.

    Hi there

Could you go to Software Info on your device, screenshot it from top to bottom and post it here?

You can't change your CSC to BTU and/or XSA

    Hey, Thanks for the reply.

But according to this post, CSC can be changed, right?

Maybe it's possible, but we don't support that.

If you live in Sri Lanka, leave the CSC SLK -> then you have the correct network settings.

Do you have experience with Odin and flash firmware yourself?

    1. Download SmartSwitch for PC (NOT to be used, just for the correct drivers): https://www.sammobile.com/samsung-smart-switch/
    2. Download Odin 3.14.x: https://dl2018.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.14.4.zip
    3. Download latest firmware for Multi-CSC OXM: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/ga...1BUA8/1203720/

How to flash firmware to your phone:

    1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
    2. Download Odin v3.14.4
    3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
    4. Open Odin v3.14.4
    5. Power OFF your Tab S7+
    6. Reboot Tablet in Download Mode: Connect USB-cable to your computer. Hold down "Volume up" and "Volume down" at same time. While holding down, connect the USB-cable to your tablet.
    7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
    8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
    9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
    10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

    Note: use USB-A -> USB-C cable

Use SamMobile only if you are 100% sure about the risks involved in flashing your device. SamMobile is not responsible for any damage caused by using the files on this website.

I have experience with Odin and flashing firmware for an old device, But I think you have provided me all the instructions I need. So thank you very much.
I'll post an update after performing these actions.
