I have Galaxy S8 G950FD bought originally with what looks like Taiwan firmware.
I have problems with Contacts/Phone apps - it does not show caller's name from phone book. I had similar problem with S6 and it was solved by changing FW to Eastern European.
So I tried to flash SEE firmware from Sammobile to S8.
After upgrade *#1234# shows:
AP/CP: G950FXXU1AQH3 and CSC: G950FOXM1AQH3
In SW Information - Service Provider SW version:
SAOMC_SM-G950F_OXM_BRI_0086
ce051715b10cd90102
BRI/BRI/BRI
I still get Contacts/Phone apps from original region.
What's the reason? CSC not changed?
How can I change the region in my phone?

If the firmware you are installing has the same firmware csc as the firmware csc on your phone then nothing will change.
Your firmware CSC has 'OXM' in it as does the firmware you are trying to install.
In this case the firmware is shared (multi csc) and so you will have to try a procedure from this member post:

Tried this procedure. However when I disable both cell and wifi I stuck in the middle. Something like "Unauthorized attempt to reset phone. Connect to wifi or mobile network to verify". And the Next button is not active.

In Download mode do you have a CROM Service?
Well, I tried to flash according to the instruction but several times, with home_csc, csc, and once with repartition enabled.
Not sure what CROM Service is, here is picture of my phone in Download mode:

Just to be clear you need to use CSC AND Re-partition to install the SEE firmware.
Do not use HOME_CSC.
Also make sure you are using these files:
BL
AP
CP
CSC
In other words, follow the install post IN FULL.

I followed install post in full, exactly as described, CSC AND Re-partition... (except maybe Odin v3.12.7 not 3.11.1). No luck, at the end again greetings in Chinese and BRI region.
As I did it with SIM card out I immediately tried procedure as in

I was able to proceed more than before, all went as described...
However when I added SIM card instead of "SIM card changed" and RESTART
I got PIN code invitation. I introduced pin and followed further. No result either.
It appears that this Taiwan phone is locked down more than the 'normal' OXM phone.
Any clues on what the 'PIN code invitation' is for.
i follow everything and when i insert my simcard it doesnt say anything just in a couple of seconds appear lte on the network and thats it, i still follow the procedure but is stil with the default csc, what else i can do?
