    S9+ firmware spectrum mobile

Little new to this. I originally purchased my s9+ from Verizon but have since moved to spectrum Mobile.

Original usa phone still in usa.

I'm not getting ota updates and am still on android 9. My phone shows U0 which my understanding is bloatware. If I understand correctly I can go U1 with no issues.

My phone chows csc of cha/cha/vzw and my understanding is that just tells me it's on charter but was originally on verizon.

When when I look at firmware downloads for sm-g965u and u1 they list cha as being Xfinity. Is that a incorrect listing? All my research has shown cha as being charter.

    Hi there

First of all: Your device is a SM-G965U -> you CAN'T flash SM-G965U1 firmware to your device (different model)

Firmware updates (OTA) in the US? Grrrrrrr...

You can flash this firmware to your device: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/ga...U8FTJ3/530796/

Flash AP BL CP & HOME_CSC_OYN with Odin 3.14.x -> your data will stay intact

Be aware: after flashing this firmware, you can't downgrade anymore...

I'm sure you may be a bit more knowledgeable than myself but everything I've read doesnt indicate a different model when looking at U vs U1. Only the locked vs unlocked software. Care to explain what you meant?

    Different model-code: you can't flash -U1- firmware on a -U- device

Did this change recently? Seems lots have done it with a patched odin. Granted I have found your name all over the place on xda so I am sure you are pretty knowledgeable on the subject.

We don't support ILLEGAL software like PATCHED Odin. It's probably possible, but you should ask the guys who did that before already...

Got ya. So if thats the case does samsung give this site odin? Everything I've seen says odin was never publicly released so wouldn't sharing it be illegal?

Odin is "official" software and not patched: that's the reason Odin is on our site, we support it, and not the patched version...
