Hey everyone,
I have an issue with my S10+ regarding software updates. Phone has been purchased in USA but I live in Albania and have not been able to once perform a software update OTA or through Smart Switch. By the end of 2019 I ran into a page that you could download the software and directly install it from SD card from accessing the menu by holding Bixby-VolUp-Lock. However sinde January 2020 they are no longer uploading software updates for S10+. Now I am stuck with January update on S-975USQS2CSL1 version.
Being in this situation I started to research a bit and found out about the CSC code.
I have tried to change the CSC code through *#272*IMEI number# (I get a message UNKNOWN APPLICATION) as well as through the reset from accessing menu by holding Bixby-VolUp-Lock but none has worked for me.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
1. Download SmartSwitch for PC (NOT to be used, just for the drivers): https://www.sammobile.com/samsung-smart-switch/
2. Download Odin 3.14.x: https://dl2018.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.14.4.zip
3. Download latest firmware for S10+ Multi-CSC OYN: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/ga...S4DTG1/359764/
How to flash firmware to your phone:
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.4
3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
4. Open Odin v3.14.4
5. Power OFF your S10+
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Hold down Vol-UP & Power; scroll in Recovery to "Boot to Bootloader". Connect your S10+ to your PC
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Use SamMobile only if you are 100% sure about the risks involved in flashing your device. SamMobile is not responsible for any damage caused by using the files on this website.
Btw, does this also solve the OTA updates? As it seems to me its only updating the current software but the CSC would remain the same.
its all good, I figured it out after posting this earlier... its now XSA,
