Hi there
I'm new to this forum and thanks to the admins for this wonderful platform
I bought a galaxy s9 4 months ago. But it is still running under Android 8.0.
But i wanna upgrade it to Android 10 since it is a compatible device. I tried to upgrade automatically but when i try the software update in my phone, it always displays this message:
The latest updates have already been installed.
Current version: G960USQS3BRK2/960UOYN3BRK2/G960USQS3BRK2
Security patch level: December 1, 2018
This is the reason why i wanna do it manually
Now my question is, is it possible to install a firmware from another country?
I live in Cameroon (Africa) and i can't find my country in the list.
The model number of my phone is SM-G960U, and i've found a firmware for this model, but it is from USA (neither verizon, nor tmobile)
here is the link to that firmware and it seems to be the latest:

Thanks for your help!

1. Download/Install SmartSwitch for PC (NOT to be used, just for the drivers): [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
2. Download Odin 3.14.x: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
3. Download latest firmware for Multi-CSC OYN: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
How to flash firmware to your phone:
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
2. Download [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
4. Open Odin v3.14.4
5. Power OFF your S9
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode: Hold down Vol-UP & Power; scroll in Recovery to "Boot to Bootloader". Connect your S9 to your PC
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC in CSC). USERDATA stays EMPTY!
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
Use SamMobile only if you are 100% sure about the risks involved in flashing your device. SamMobile is not responsible for any damage caused by using the files on this website.
Hi there. Thanks for this quick reply. Actually, my question is, may I install the firmware whom I posted the link in my first post or should I install the one in your reply? Cuz the matter is that my country isn't in the countries list. In your reply you gave another link that seems adequate for unknown countries.
Thanks once again
The firmware-link in my post can be used: it's Multi-CSC OYN firmwareOriginally Posted by theuprisingforce [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
All right. Thank you so much!
