    At&t s9+ (sm-g965u) help

    Hello,

I own a s9 plus. It's been a great phone but I found out that in my Android version is 8.0 and my last update was September 2018. I bought the phone used back home in the states and I'm currently a way out of the country for the next few months and I would like to get it updated to Android 10. I tried the update option on the phone I've also try to do the smart switch update and they both will not let me do it. I recently read something about a regional locked because I'm in a different country right now and not using a AT&t SIM card that's why won't give me the updates and I heard you can do it manually here but I'm submitting this question to make sure I pick the right firmware because I don't want to brick the phone.

    Hi there

    Download/Install following on your PC:

SmartSwitch for PC (NOT to be used, just for the drivers): [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
Odin 3.14.x: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
Latest firmware for your device: [ Login above or register to see download links. ]

Use the ORIGINAL USB-cable, provided with your device

Flash AP BL CP & HOME_CSC_OYN (other files in archive NOT to be used) with Odin 3.14.x -> your data will stay intact...

Do you have experience with flashing firmware yourself?

How to flash firmware to your phone:

    1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
    2. Download [ Login above or register to see download links. ]
    3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
    4. Open Odin v3.14.4
    5. Power OFF your S9+
    6. Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode with the following button combo: POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
    7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
    8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots (AP in AP, BL in BL, CP in CP, HOME_CSC_OYN in CSC) (other files in archive NOT to be used, USERDATA stays EMPTY)
    9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
    10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Use SamMobile only if you are 100% sure about the risks involved in flashing your device. SamMobile is not responsible for any damage caused by using the files on this website.
