    Vodafone uk to BTU

Hi I have a S9 on vodafone UK.

I want to debrand it by flashing to BTU.(i am on tesco mobile)

I am a little confused if this is ok after readings about multi csc.( I do not completely the threads about incompatibility flashing multi cscs)

Would changing from Voda UK----> to BTU be ok and compatible and would OTA updated work?

    thank you for your time

What operator is Tesco Mobile? Is it part of Vodafone UK?

If not, why do you have a Vodafone UK-phone?

Thanks for the reply. Tesco mobile uses the 02 network.

I brought the Vodafone s9 from a friend and have had it unlocked so it accepts the Tesco simcard.
The phone works fine but I would prefer a phone without the vodafone bloatware and unbranded.

Would it be better to flash with O2 firmware or BTU? would there be problems with multi cscs?

I look forward to your reply thanks.

    You can flash the UN-branded BTU-firmware: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/...U1BRF8/224779/

    You've the S9, NOT S9+ ?

Flash with Odin 3.13.1; Leave SIM-card in your phone, flash AP BL CP CSC_OXM -> your device will be resetted afterwards (this is necessary)

SamMobile is not responsible for any damage caused by using the files on this website.

That's great thank you for the advice.
    It is the s9.
I have read that some people factory reset their phone afterwards/clear cache and that if they don't do this is it true that you won't get OTA updates?
Do I need to do this? as it doesn't say that on the sam mobile instructions.
Will I get OTA updates after flashing this
    Thanks

You can do this; I don't know about OTA-updates (You'll have to find out)

    Hi thanks for advice.
I have updated the s9 with the BTU software.
The update seemed to go smoothly with odin.

Following the update checking my software it says
    XEU/XEU/VOD

(I am currerntly using my vodafone simcard in the phone and will try my tesco mobile one later)

Does this mean that xeu is my active CSC and that it will get updates on this CSC?
Will the updates be as quick as BTU?
Does XEU/XEU/VOD mean (active csc, product code, carrier) ?

    thanks

    XEU/XEU/VOD -> Active/SIM/Product-code)

    You'll receive updates for XEU

Thanks so much for your help.
Really appreciate it. Last question then All questions done.
Now that I have flashed my phone will it invalidate my warranty?
My Knox has not been tripped.

    Thanks
