    Odin 3.13.1

A new Odin is available, which can handle the new compression of the S8/S8+ Oreo files (LZ4):

Which version of Odin would I use to recover a Galaxy Note4? What is the name of the one file and where do I find it on the web?

or is there a better website to get that one oh-so-necessary firmware file at?

    Hi there, good morning

    Normally all Odin's should work...

But your Note 4 isn't doing anything anymore, so I suggest to visit a Samsung Service Point

A newer Odin version for the newer phones is all well and good. However, I am somewhat leery about those newer oriented versions leaving the older devices behind or conveniently forgetting about them and not carrying on the patches and provisions for them. That is the concern behind my question.

I appreciate your expertise in this area since it will my first venture into firmware repair. What about a version of Odin closer to or after the date of release of the Galaxy Note4? Perhaps version 3.09 or one around that vintage might contain the *.md5 file(s), yes?, since the v.3.13.1 does not seem to come packaged with ANY files when I look at it on my Mac after it unzips the 'bundle'?
