    Rooting question.

If I root a device using an ICS firmware and then want to change back to 2.3.6 do I have to find a kernel for that firmware if I don't wanted it rooted?

If you flash stock Rom (the ones you download from here) on your phone, old Root will be lost. have fun

YES if you go back to the stock rom then you device will be unrooted again. If you already have a custom rom than you must be having cwm and if you dont have cwm get a cwm xip file and flash it by odin and than you can flash mostly every new custom rom made.
    Thanx

It's easy, during a flash you are flashing another Kernel Version and yes if the Kernel isn't rooted that you are flashing than you don't have a root.

Samsung Stock Roms are never rooted so it should be gone after every update if the kernel also is updated.

    Yes "Paradise 1409" correct. Flash=Format/delete.
