    SM-T710 flash query

    Heya,

I have a Tab S2 8 Wifi (SM-T710) which turns out is from Hong Kong, and I'm in the UK, so I'd like to switch firmware.

I'm new to all this so sorry if it's all basic questions, I have been reading up but I'm just a bit paranoid at screwing up the device.

The current firmware is T710ZSS2AQB1, and I've download T710XXU2DQI6_T710BTU2DQI6_BTU from this site, which contains a single HOME.tar.md5 file.

I took a peek inside that and I see a hidden.img file, which after googling people seem to have issues with, though on different devices, so is that anything I need to worry about?

Also are pit files anything I need to worry about? I see a sticky for them, though not sure which I'd need if I did.

I do not envisage any problems installing the BTU firmware.
If Odin does fail then please post the Odin log for advice.

    Heya,

flashing went fine after trying the USB at the back of the PC, wouldn't get past SettingupConnection with the USB on the front of the PC.

Data was all there too, though I still wiped the device after checking Recovery Mode as it had TGY for the CSC, and still does after the rest.

Does that mean I won't get OTA updates?
