    T805 update issue

    Hi all,

I am currently struggling to install the marshmallow update onto my tab s

    I have tried:

    T805XXU1CPH5_T805VFG1CPH1_VD2
    T805XXU1CPH5_T805VFG1CPH1_VOD
    T805XXU1CPI3_T805OJV1CPI2_XSG
    T805XWU1BOK1_T805OJV1BOK1_XFV

    T805XXU1CPH5_T805OXA1CPH6_DBT (is currently being downloaded)

    With Odin 3.07, 3.10, 3.12 and a few others

All are giving the same error:

    <OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
    <OSM> Please wait..
    <OSM> T805XXU1CPH5_T805VFG1CPH1_T805XXU1CPH8_HOME.tar.md 5 is valid.
    <OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
    <OSM> Leave CS..

The device becomes bricked and will not allow post to the samsung animation. I get stuck at the powered by android screen

I've heard about pit files but i have no idea where to find a corresponding firmware and pit file?

Currently I am using AOSP android 6.0 that I installed using TWRP, However this rom is horrible broken, it wont even detect the sim.

Any help returning to stock samsung firmware would be much appreciated,

    Thanks Guys

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated,

You are trying to install the wrong firmware on your TAB.
This is why you are getting the fail at hidden.img.

You would be better using SmartSwitch to reinstall the correct firmware for your Tab.
Look here and use method in post #2 or #3.

    NOTE:
    Just noticed you installed TWRP.
This will prevent a SmartSwitch recovery.

Can you install this app and post:
    Product Code
    Original CSC code
    Active CSC code
    PDA version
    CSC version
    Baseband version
    Android version
    Mobile operator

    Dear host,

for my italian version of SM-T805 (see details in the image attachment) at today I didn't find any new MM firmware.

I've to wait or it's better if I use the german version.

    Thanks.

    Hi @all,
I also experience an update issue recently. Have a T805 LTE with Android 5.0.2 (rootet, running with original firmware/no mods) and want to update to 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Updating regularly wasnt possible cause of root, so Im with Odin again.

I got myself both official 6.0.1 stock roms for Vodafone Germany from Sammobile and tried 3 Versions of Odin, but still Odin gives me this message, which might rely to a wrong firmware version as mentioned above:

<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
    <OSM> Please wait..
    <OSM> T805XXU1CPH5_T805VFG1CPH1_T805XXU1CPH8_HOME.tar.md 5 is valid.

    My current Version is T805XXU1BOC1 / LRX22G.T805XXU1BOCC

and I tried the two available 6.0.1 stock roms

    T805XXU1CPL1_T805VFG1CPL1_T805XXU1CPL1_HOME.tar
    T805XXU1CPH5_T805VFG1CPH1_T805XXU1CPH8_HOME.tar

Before I went to download mode I did a factory reset with TWRP, and before that I did a backup with Titanium (but not sure if that went properly). I still have the original 5.0.2 firmware, if everything fails...

Would really appreciate any kind of advice what to do now, am I doing something wrong or is there maybe a special trick (like this PIT thing above or something)?

*sigh* manymany thx for your knowledge

    You have identified the problem.
Vodafone firmware is a bigger file than you have on your Tab.
You therefore need to increase the system partition size for the Vodafone firmware to fit in.

This needs the T805 Vodafone PIT file.
Here it is, but note that you will be given the default Vodafone csc in the firmware.

Great, thanks for that quick response! So I put that PIT file into the PIT section of Odin and the stock rom as usual in the AP section and try it then? Does the Re-Partition box then need te be checked? (think Odin did that on itself when I putt the PIT file in...)?

    Yes.
    Firmware in AP
    PIT in PIT

    and check that
    Re-partition
    F.Reset Time
    Auto Reboot
    are selected.
