Just bought a Galaxy S7 Duo from Hong Kong and a keyboard cover from overseas. The ability to use a hardware keyboard is the reason I chose Samsung over other brands. Unfortunately the phone is unable to recognize the keyboard. The keyboard hardware is OK because it works with an S7 from another country (Australia). So it seems to be a firmware issue.

Online-chatting with Samsung support directs me to Samsung HK. Apparently the firmware is region specific. Amazingly, the Samsung HK support staff knows nothing about the keyboard! Now I am stuck.

How can Samsung sells a peripheral that is not supported? Why doesn't it state clearly the peripheral is region specific?
