    Know your firmware

    KNOW YOUR FIRMWARE

    If you want to update, change or have problems with your phone, then the firmware on your S6 is something that you should know.

    But how can you find it?

    1. Use your dialler:

    Dial *#1234#

    2. For more information download the Phone Info Samsung app from the Play Store

    3. What is your firmware version?
    [ Login above or register to see download links. ]

    NOTE:
    The firmware is coded in 3 parts.
    Looking in (1) at the CSC code G920FITV1AOCN we have:
    G920F = Model number
    ITV = country/network code
    1AOCN = firmware version. Samsung use alpha/numeric ordering.

    In (2) we have much more information.
    For identifying which country/network firmware you have on your phone, look at the last 3 letters of the Product Code, or the Active CSC Code.

    For another CSC code
    Go to the menu top left (3 lines)
    CSC Lookup
    Enter the 3 letter code > SEARCH

    SmartSwitch is unlikely to work unless the PIt file size is ok.

    Give it a try and if SmartSwitch will not work then use Odin.

    If the Serbian language is not on your G920W8 then it is not available.
    There is no way to add another language on Samsung phones.

    Yes, do not try to install an older version of the firmware as it is blocked by the secure bootloader.
