Tab S SM-T700 will not power off. It is stuck in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S android screen.
Only way I can get it to turn off is to remove battery. Then when I repower unit it goes to the same screen and will not shut off unless battery is removed. operating system and rebooted the Tab.
Also function keys do not access recovery or download mode, tablet is not recognized when connected by usb cable
Hope some one has some suggestions how how to get to the download mode so I can reinstall firmware.

I have a same problem. After the Samsung update .

There are apps in the Playstore which you can use to power off your device without the use of the hardware button.
